Located in Oeiras, the design of the single-family house was developed to reflect the principles of contemporary architecture, creating a house to be lived in with a view looking solely and exclusively at the Tagus River.

The client meets Martina Arquitetura and develops a collaborative process with the team to convey all their requirements and aspirations.

From the outset, it was essential to understand the needs of the future living of the house, to create a space that not only met the function, but was also a reflection of a combination between the house and its surroundings.

Integrating the house into its surroundings

The single-family house in Oeiras was designed to accommodate a family of different ages and provide them with a full experience of its surroundings. The choice of materials and the distribution of spaces were key aspects in the development of this project.

Developed over two floors, the villa was designed to maximize the view of the Tagus River, with the pool space strategically positioned to offer the best possible frontage and rotated on the axis of the house/lot.

Contemporary architecture is now expressed through clean lines, large spans of glass and a conscious integration with its surroundings.

This project reflects Martina Arquitetura’s total involvement with every job it undertakes.
