architecture as a practice of new limits and inexhaustible places

ARCHITECT

artistic expression of design and program

I see architecture, in the creation of space, as the result of the balance between the artistic expression of design and its intended function. It is the incessant interaction in finding this answer, which serves not only as a starting point, but as the methodology of the architectural exercise for any project.

If in architecture we have the human body as the basic element of dimensioning and proportionality of spaces, I believe that its experience and awakening of emotions are the fundamental factors that the program must observe. Function should be more than descriptive of physical needs but embody sensations of being in space and time.

Individuality of architecture in time and space

heterogeneous architecture

Open kitchenTraditional cuisine

We understand architecture as heterogeneous in its servitude to the preferences and needs of the human being. The same space, with the same destination, for different target audiences, is necessarily different.

This need is evident in the sphere of private projects for housing, where families of different sizes, preferences, and cultures have different needs and constraints for their project program.

Understanding and matching the sizing of space, solutions, and even materials and equipment, to the time and purpose is intrinsic to our practice.

The plurality of buildings with distinct programs allows for varied segmentations in the field of architecture.

Whether the dictum is private or public, residential or commercial, high-end or low-cost, for one’s own use or for investment, understanding the diversity of clients and programs, their requirements and solutions, brings to today’s architecture the need to go further.

To this end, there is a continuous effort to absorb the diversity of the real estate sector, its preference and profitability factors, and the most appropriate architectural solutions.

INNOVATION | BASIC ELEMENT

state of art

Throughout history architecture has, along with progress and the use of materials, made advances in the creation of space. The change in working methods and the ability to materialize were constantly changing. The current practice is quite different from the one I started 15 years ago.

Nowadays we are able to design directly in three-dimensional format, to give an experiential experience through digital visualization and 3D printing models, and to enable very close contact with the customer and employees, remotely, using digital tools.

We also believe that our BIM-based practice promotes not only better collaboration between professionals, but also significant efficiency gains for the benefit of the final artistic expression.

The Parque Real project went beyond designing buildings, in this project we designed a city. In a balance between orthogonal volumes, we draw full into a void that defines our limit.
