Founded in 2016, Martina Architecture is an architecture and interior design practice working across Portugal and internationally. The studio approaches every commission as a close collaboration, combining careful observation, technical precision and a deep understanding of how people live. From the first sketch to the finished space, each decision is shaped by context, proportion, material and light.

Rehabilitation of Single Family House into Apartments
Quanza
On Rua Quanza, in Porto, a single-family house from the 1970s is the starting point for a new story. The property, acquired decades ago by the current owners, has stood the test of time, but no longer offers salubrious conditions or living comforts.
VA59 — Single Family House
Vista Alegre
A couple decide to start again on the family plot, demolishing the old house that was unable to meet their current needs. The new project was born out of this desire to preserve the memory of the place, but reinterpreting it in a contemporary language.

In the heart of historic Porto, between the urban fabric and accumulated memories, a sloping plot of land is home to a permanent dwelling. A couple chose this location to meet their needs and to evolve throughout the different stages.
